Really now…? It seems to me, that the jews invented a horrid, vile, and repugnant form of MONOtheism… A form, which xtianity, and islam are BOTH founded upon… Anton LaVey invented a bible on successful atheism, the jews only perfected the fairy tail faith… Jews believe in the false god as xtians and muslims; Therefore, a group who belives in a god=NOT Atheism… Though Atheism IS the superior choice when gien with those three religions… By the way, I am your real enemy; Hail Satan…:)

I Really like Mr. Condell, As a Christian I can take it…. heck as a Christian I take it all the time. You do indeed have a right to believe the way you like Mr. Condell & you have the right to insult me if you wish I am not really offended. I will share my faith with those that wish to hear it but I will never cram my faith down your throat. I can choose to not listen to you. Just as you can choose not to listen to me. If the world was perfect, what would be the purpose of life? There would be know lesson to learn from and everyone would basically be robots. Life is full of lessons.
I didn’t say “dangerous”. I said moderates are “as dangerous” [as the "extremist wackos"]. If you can honestly look at all the horrible things religion and the religious have done and you aren’t incensed by it all then you aren’t someone I would count on in the first place.

Atheists are denied custody of their children in court EXPLICITLY because they are atheist. Costly and ineffective “Abstinence Only” eat up time and money. The Vatican teaches that abstinence is the ONLY safe why to prevent HIV and AIDS in Africa where HIV and AIDS kills hundreds of Africans a day, while they cover up the rape of children by priests so the church doesn’t look bad. And the list goes on, and every offense is brought about by “moderates”. Moderates are JUST as dangerous.
Again, we are talking about mocking religion, NOT “winning people over”. And what “strawman”? In this country (USA) three states just had bills on the ballots trying to ban the teaching of evolution in science classes. George W. Bush was told “by god” to invade the middle east and a LOT of people supported it. Homosexuals and same-sex couples are kept from having equal rights. Women are told they have no rights to, or control over their own bodies.
You know? Most religious persons, and the mainly religious society around us it´s not like that. I suppose it´s easier to fight a strawman. As in all the religious people are the extremists wackos so easily mocked. But that its only the warm up. The real challenge it´s not that. The real challenge are the normal, inteligent, and non extremist society as a whole who is nevertheless religious. And that one you are not going to win over with mockery, I suspect.
Nope, born in a christian family, not bat experiences with religion. I´m an atheist. Most of my friends are atheists too, or deists, they were born in christian families. Your case seems to be the exception not the norm.
well i dont know why anyone would say you dont have the right to insult my religion. IM christian and i say go right ahead. YOu have the right and I have the right not to care. but you still have the right. Freedom to say what you want is still good no matter who is offended. What a stupid comment – I mean, seriously? You just want him to “try it?” I guess while he’s at it he should try the THOUSANDS of other active religions in the world, too. Christians don’t just tell us their food is better, they insists on force feeding their beliefs on society (as all theists tend to do.)
CONTINUED: if you thought chicken was the best food in the world, and somebody told you bacon was, would you try it? YES. Why? A. If somebody claimed there was something better than what you had, you would want to try it to see if you could have better and B. You would wanna make sure that chicken is THE BEST and not have doubt in your mind.

@6U4RD1AN … We’ve TRIED to educate these people but they refuse, insisting on taking science of you science classes and replacing it with ignorance and superstition. They refuse to listen to anything that MIGHT contradict them, all the while acting like victims when someone cries “Bullshit!” on their ridiculous claims. They flock together in large number with others who believe the same fundamentally silly things and, through democracy, change the world through their stupidity.
@6U4RD1AN But we weren’t discussing “the best way to convey atheism”. We were discussing if it’s okay to mock religion. And it’s not a matter of “spitting in faces”. Simple name-calling isn’t mockery; it’s name-calling. Mockery needs to be able to back itself up.

It can work to quit religion the ridicolous amount of respect it doesn´t deserve, but it also will make people defensive about your points.
