@virgo4200 WoW was released Dec 23, 2004, EQ2 was released November 8, 2004. So EQ2 is a tad older.
Actually WoW is as old or if not older than this game and it has dungeon finder right now
Came back to this game and really happy i did. the F2P model doesnt do very well to entice old players to come back but its excellent for new players. As an old player at the start i hated the F2P model but tbh the best way to enjoy the game is just to sub. As you said there is so much content and things to do that it deserves a sub to gold. Restrictions arent as bad as i originally thought but if you sub there is no other mmo that can live up to the experience offered by this game!
@JBurky15 I played eq2 on it’s release and played for about a year then i droped the game, and when swtor came out i bought that but i didnt like it so now that eq2 is back in free2play i started again and it’s better then ever
@ggiles Well said, and I agree its amazing what they have been doing with this engine to preserve it as long as possible to get the best out of it.
@JBurky15 Hell yeah, EQ was the start of why I love the MMO genre. Long live Ever Quest! =D
Really happy this went F2P. I’ve been playing this game off and on for every expansion since it came out. This is actually making me come back again. I do play SWTOR but I’ve always loved EQ and EQ2.
-.-’
WERE IS TUWASP hHIVE IN Gereater FAYDARK? I can’t FUCKING FIND THE PLACE _.-’
So let me get this straight in order to play necromancer i have to pay. Oh cmon i love being a death magician. Well that sucks
Good review. I’ve been on EQ2 since ’05 and joined EQ1 back in ’99 (no kidding). While EQ2 no longer has the most amazing engine compared to modern shooters, what SOE does manage to crank out with the current engine is really amazing. The diversity of the zones is substantial and extremely creative. Like any MMO, what makes a game great is the community, and EQ2 rocks in that aspect. Yes, some long-time P2P folks are agitated that EQ2 has gone FP2, but I say bring on more players, and enjoy!
@Heelaburt Its a very polished MMORPG experience with LOADS of content and variation for you to explore. Not so sure about the PVP aspects, but in my mind since its F2P you should for sure try it out!

Yo man. Do you recommend this game? looks like a good time to take a break from WoW.
@noremorse126 on like the lowest settings lol
@MrOdinygg I love coffee… had a white Chocolate Caramel Cappuccino today! =D
@MrOdinygg Lol the word training reminds me of Aion at its early stages… my guild was hated for that haha. And I actually remember the name Everquest Online Adventures for the PS2… but other than the name I dont remember it much. Glad the episode brought back memories though!
@RoMFinishTheFight Yeah its really old, it actually released before World Of Warcraft.
@vicboy129 Yeah but it progressively downloads so you dont have to wait. Which is nice. And that 12 gigs is a TON of content.
@noremorse126 Im pretty sure it can prolly run it lol. Its worth a shot!
could i run the game with a nividia gfroce 5200 126mb card lol? (i know it sucks)
This game is like 12 gigs. wtf
To answer the question of the day, my first MMO was Everquest Online Adventures! Do you remember that one? It was EQ for the Playstation 2. It came out about the time when the network adapter got released. So many awesome memories from that game for rehashed by watching this episode
… You actually had to find a spot and grind mobs to level up. I remember the term “training” when you would aggro a bunch of mobs and run towards another group of players and watch them wipe… good times
Chocolateice ftw! Most awesome mage name ever ^.^… keep up the good work Mr. Sharpes. I’m glad I can enjoy my morning coffee and watch a new Level Up episode!
Yes but the game is getting kinda ugly huh
GAME OF FUCKING THRONES! And they already named it before!
question mark is ALWAYS before exclamation mark
AM I RIGHT?!
….but it takes me about 2 weeks to get a game from them!
Alex looks like Dan now lol
HOW DO THEY NOT SEE SINGING IN THE RAIN?
SINGING IN THE GODDAMN RAIN
@woodsy1234567890 They should hand in their rad cards for not getting that one.
I love how Jeff always gets excited when he has the answer on the tip of his tongue and eventually gets one right just because he always gets creamed at these games. I always root for him but he never wins. He still has the best taste in movies of the three, though.
dude seriously Game of thrones?! so obvious
king kong took way too long…
@woodsy1234567890 is that the best movie or what
hot fuzz and king kong were so obvious. xD
Wow you guys are terrible at this lol
I can’t wait until tomorrow’s show! What did they get Alex?? LOL And when is Jeff getting his bday gift?
@leadspot alex said on mondays show he just always wanted to shave it
dude!, really? hot fuzz?… after the third capture it was so obvious, by the way… no explanation for Alex haircut? that’s just rude
@patcoston Ooohh… something like that with a timer! That would be cool!
Singin’ in the Rain was CRYSTAL CLEAR by the second image!!
i guessed Singing the the rain: 1 ding! Super 8: 2 Hot fuzz: 3 King Kong: 4
@WideJuly me too!
Dancing in the Rain was so obvious. They described the scene and they still didn’t get it.
oh yeah, What is That is the TRS game, for a minute I thought they were talking about Alex’s hair
Dan looks depressed
3:51 I stopped here to say Singing in The Rain!
3:42 made me laugh so hard
